Matilde Calamai is an Italian poet born in Prato, Italy, living and working in Florence, Italy.[1] In 1993 she was named Miss Viareggio and started a young modeling career by winning the first contest "a face for model" in 1994. In 1999 she entered the world of television with the broadcast "Quelli del calcio" with Fabio Fazio and continued her activities with the programs "In forma e salute" on Italia 7 in 2002, "Idea" gravure news and interviews with celebrities on Canale 10 in 2003, "Prima serata" and "Lombarvie" Telelombardia in 2004, "L'Isola del Cinema" on television Cooming soon in 2005, "Sanità al futuro" Telelombardia, "Medici e salute" aired on Channel 10 in 2005, the TG of the municipality of Milan and "Fai la mossa giusta, previeni" broadcast on Telelombardia sky and circuit 901, "NetTV" program dedicated to the world of the internet on RTV 38 in 2007, "Tanta Salute " program dedicated to the health well-being of Antena 3. Telelombardia and Sky 901 from 2007 to 2010,"Vivi in Bellezza" on RTV 38 from 2008 to 2013, "Weekly TG" on Red Alice in 2008, "treasure hunt" cultural program on Telelombardia in 2009 and "Se ci sei fatti vedere" on TVL in 2013. In 2004 she wrote as a journalist for the newspaper "Kult" magazine and became responsible for the promotion and the President of the Province of Milan Ombretta Colli. In 2009 she began her career as a writer by publishing the novel titled "La bellezza parte da dentro" with Neftasia editor, in 2010 she published the book of short stories "Storie sexy di ragazze per bene" with GDS editor with foreword by writer and director Federico Moccia in 2012 she published the book of poems "Pensieri inVersi" with edizioni Linee Infinite and in 2013 the short novel "Paola beyond words" with Giuliano Ladolfi editor. In 2012 she made her debut as a solo artist with "Art Mater" at La Pergola Arte Florence Art exhibition starting a process that leads to exhibit her works at the Agora Gallery in New York. In 2015 she had a solo exhibition in the Biennale of Florence at Fortezza da basso. In 2016 she presented the novel Moran in the Caffè Giubbe Rosse of Florence. 2016 saw the exhibition Arteè at Palazzo Bastogi headquarters of the Consiglio regionale della Toscana.[2][3]

Literature

In 2009 she published the novel "La bellezza parte da dentro" with Neftasia editor and in the same year received the silver work medal as first prize at the international Ida Baruzzi Bertozzi in the fourteenth edition of the Marengo d'oro. In 2010 she published the book of short stories "Storie sexy di ragazze per bene" with GDS editor with a foreword by writer and director Federico Moccia in the same year, Men's Health magazine dedicated an article to her book "Storie sexy di ragazze per bene" [4] In 2012 she presented to the public with the publishing house Linee Infinite editor the book of poems "Pensieri inVersi" and received the first prize for poetry published in the international literary prize "Lilly Brogi La Pergola Arte" of Florence fifth edition and a mention of honor to the twentieth edition of the international literary prize ALIAS Melbourne Australia. In 2013 she published in the United States the short novel Paola beyond the words published by iUniverse and returned to the Italian public with the Italian version "Paola oltre le parole" published by Giuliano Ladolfi editor.[5] Also in 2013 she presented at the Regional Council of Tuscany Bastogi room in the palace the book collections of poems "Pensieri inVersi" by Paola Lucarini Poggi.[6] In the same year she won third prize fiction with the story "Quanza the matriarch" and a warning about the poem "And 'Africa' in the twenty-first edition "international literary prize ALIAS Melbourne Australia". Painting

In 2012 she participated in the collective center at GAMEC d 'arte Moderna di Pisa. In 2012 her solo exhibition "Art Mater" at the gallery “La Pergola Arte” of Florence with the presentation of Enrico Nistri and Peter Michael Musone received acclaim from audiences and critics. In 2013 she exhibited her paintings in the gallery "Agora" in New York. The book Arteè written by Peter Michael Musone published by Il Masso delle Fate Edizioni in 2014 published two of her works and made a review of her artistic activity.

Works in public spaces

The painting work "Florence" is part of the art collection of "Misericordia Centro" of Florence. The painting work "My Africa" is part of the collection "Regina Mundi" center of Tirrenia woman. Some paintings have been used in the set of the television series International "Commisario Rex" in 2013. The painting work "Vortex" is part of the permanent collection of the Municipality of Montecatini Terme and is exhibited in public spaces of the city.
