After completing his graduation, he completed Master of Tourism Management from the Aligarh Muslim University.
Political career
While at the Aligarh Muslim University, Siddiqui began getting involved in student politics. In February 2013, he organised the first international seminar at Constitution Club in New Delhi for the restoration of Minority Status of AMU. He is the first from AMU to organise many seminars and rallies at AMU and many other places for the cause of AMU’s Minority case. [2][3][4][5] On January 30, 2014, he met with UPA chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi and asked to restore the minority status of AMU. He also met with the Hon’ble CM of Bihar to urge for support in the Restoration of Minority Status of AMU.[6][7] He also met with various National Leaders, including BJP President Amit Shah, to get support in the restoration of minority status of AMU.[8][9][10] During the demand for minority status of AMU, he was threatened to stop the demand for restoration of minority status of AMU, but apart from various difficulties, he continued his demand.[11]
In December 2015, Md Perwez Siddiqui became the first student of AMU who met with the HRD minister Smriti Irani and convinced her to fund AMU center, Kishanganj. After two days of the meeting, the HRD minister allotted 134 crores rupees to AMU center, Kishanganj.[12] In April 2016, he met with the Hon’ble Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu and requested a stoppage of Seemanchal Express at Aligarh Junction for the students who are studying from Seemanchal Districts of Bihar and also presented him with a frame of glorious pictures of AMU.[13] Siddiqui has also demanded to change the name of the movie Aligarh as the name of the movie defames the image and reputation of Aligarh District as well as the name of Aligarh Muslim University.[14][15]
Muslim Arakshan Morcha
In October 2017, he founded Muslim Arakshan Morcha and raised the demand for five percent reservation for Muslims in all studies and employment in the state of Bihar and organised the first grand rally in Muzaffarpur.[1][16] After that, he organised a massive rally at 22 districts of Bihar with a huge number of Muslims in demand of five percent of reservation for the Muslim Community.[17][18][19][20][20] After that, on February 23, 2019, he organised a Raj Bhawan March in which more than ten thousand Muslims from different districts of Bihar were present there.[17][21][22][23][23]

Siddiqui started his career as a leader of Muslim Arakshan Morcha, which is an organisation based in Bihar, and he later formed Rashtriye Alpshankhayak Arakshan Morcha. The party allied with Pappu Yadav led Jan Adhikar Party in the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections to form a separate front apart from the National Democratic Alliance and United Progressive Alliance.
In the elections, it contested against these two grand alliances besides another front called Grand Democratic Secular Front, which was spearheaded by Rashtriya Lok Samata Party and contained other regional parties like All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and Suhaldev Samaj Party among others.[24][25][26] The front led by Pappu Yadav and Azad was named as Progressive Democratic Alliance (PDA).[27]
