Syed Ayyub Ali Meer (born March 15, 1953), better known as Meer Ali Meer, is an Indian poet and lyricist known for his contributions to Chhattisgarhi literature and regional cinema.[1][2][3] His poems are often about cultural heritage, traditions, and rural life of Chhattisgarh, earning him widespread recognition in the literary community.[4] Meer's poetic style is characterized by its simplicity, depth, and strong connection to the ethos of Chhattisgarhi folk traditions.[1]

His lyrical contributions have played a vital role in bringing Chhattisgarhi culture to a wider audience through cinema.[6]
