History[edit]
NH Studioz has its origins in a predecessor company that was founded by Narendra Hirawat as a proprietary concern. The company initially operated as a theatrical distribution firm in Rajasthan before expanding its operations to Bombay.
In 1980, under the leadership of Narendra Hirawat, the company introduced a pioneering concept in the Indian cinema industry by acquiring the entire copyrights of released films. The company subsequently re-released the cult film Amar Akbar Anthony across theatres in India, which went on to become a box office hit.
Over the years, NH Sudioz has emerged as a significant supplier of content to new additions of streams and broadcasters, supplying content to players such as Zee and Reliance Jio.
In 2016, the company was rebranded as NH Studioz and began acquiring and distributing new production films worldwide for both theatrical and non-theatrical releases. The company's journey began with the blockbuster film PINK and continued with the acquisition and distribution of several big films such as Shivaay, Dear Zindagi, Begum Jaan, Half Girlfriend, Tubelight, Jab Harry Met Sejal, October, Omerta, Lakshmi's NTR, Setters, BABA Prassthanam, Gulabo Sitabo, Nay Varanbhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha, Ittu Si Baat, Tu Fakt Ho Mhan[1], Freddy, Maarrich, and Michael.
