Nikhil Prasad (born 14 February 1985, Trivandrum) is an Indian director, writer and producer who is the founder of Karikku, a leading Indian digital company originated from Kerala state known for the series Thera Para. He founded Karikku, which is the first Digital Platform in Kerala, in 2018 and established it as a leading digital company in the state.[1]
Personal Life[edit]
Nikhil was born on 14 February 1985 at Trivandrum, Kerala, to Mr. R.R.P Prasad and Mrs. Girijakumari. Nikhil completed his bachelors in Electronics and Communication from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He married Maya Rajan in 2008 and they have two children named Durga Nikhil and Mantra Nikhil.[2]

Early Career[edit]
Nikhil Prasad started his career at Amrita TV as a Technical Manager from 2008 to 2013. After his service at Grass Valley as a Project engineer during the years 2013-2014, Nikhil had been working as a Technical and digital head at Flowers TV for 3 years since 2015. In 2018, he founded Karikku, which is established as the top digital platform (entertainment) in Kerala.
Karikku[edit]
Nikhil had been working in the Television Industry for 10 years since 2008. He resigned the job in 2018 and registered Karikku as a company and launched its YouTube channel on 01 April 2018.[3] Initially Karikku was only him and 12 employees, 10 of them are actors. They started making humorous videos for Karikku and April Fool was the first video from the company. The web-series named Thera Para was the break through of Karikku.[4][5] The same-named film is now in pre-production, and a motion poster for it was released on their YouTube channel.[6][7] As of 2021 the firm is established as the top digital company in Kerala, India with its six subsidiaries for different businesses.[8][9]
