Mr. Nisar Banbhan was born on August 13, 1975 in a village named Haji Mir Muhammad Banbhan, Taulka: Thari Mirwah, District: Khairpur Mirs, Sindh. A country, a race, a people without culture is like a plant without water. Culture is the soul of the land's sustenance and nothing, perhaps, can represent the culture of a people better than its poetry. Sindh is a land steeped in poetry which has produced titans like Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, weaving dreams and magic with every verse elevating thoughts and ideas from the routine to the extraordinary. Carrying on the proud tradition of nurturing the heart and soul of the province through the beauty of words, Mr. Nisar Banbhan has written a book of poetry encompassing all the lessons he has learnt through this journey called life.
Words have the power to change lives: the pen is mightier than the sword. Through his pen, Mr. Banbhan hopes to bring the message of peace and humanity to all who read his work. Currently, Mr. Nisar Banbhan is working at the Sindh Education Foundation, Govt of Sindh Pakistan. Mr. Banbhan is a famous poet of Sindh and a columnist, screen play script writer too. He has also authored over three unpublished Books – ranging from poetry, travelogues to fiction novels – during his prolonged career.
Mr. Nisar Banbhan started writing when he was in class 10 and had written for his school, college and university magazines as well as for other Sindhi and Urdu magazines & newspapers. Later on, he shifted to writing short stories, poems & columns.
His poetry is really like the daffodils which are moving to and fro on the slight touch of morning breeze. If you read his poetry, it will reflect a completely different picture of his personality. His poetry compels his fans to believe that Sindh will not become a barren land because poets like Nisar Banbhan will be born in Sindh again and again to keep it prosperous with the plough of poetry and water with the flow of revolutionary and resurrecting ideas, and this is the sign of the greatness of Sindh and Sindhi culture. If I had no fear of narrow-minded people of the literature world, I could say about Nisar Banbhan with firm belief that he is a silent smile of Shaikh Ayaz and a soft touch of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
Nisar Banbhan is like the symphony of the soil of Sindh; he is the confluence of sensitiveness and audacity, and I am feeling that he is the convergence of Indus River with Sea; no doubt he is like this. Although Nisar Banbhan is the poet of modern and most advanced technological era where the world shrinks like a village yet despite that he has not cut himself from the land, desert, plateaus, flowers, trees, villages, cities, streets, and nook and corner of the Sindh. This is why, one can easily feel the sweet taste of honey like language in his poetry. He is the poet who unites all ages in a single thread and makes this so beautiful, charming and appealing. His poetry is the yell of a sad heart which is awaiting since decades, where love can find its paths, where shadow and heat are both together, where awakenings of nights is the dowry of a sincerity, where affection with soil is filled with commitment; his poetry is like a cloud which could not stop to pour down and flood the land with the big power of its little drops. As a reader, I can say that Nisar's poetry is useful for all generations. It's like a twinkling star in a dark night which is the beacon for a wandering person. If we follow his ideas, we can deeply understand and differentiate the world of sorrows and happiness. His worries, anxieties and apprehensions for the people of Sindh are reflected in his poetry. Moreover, the blessed beauty of thoughts is paralleled in his writings.
Mr. Nisar uses hundreds of pure Sindhi words for bringing the culture, civilization and several thousand year's legacy in front of national and international corridors. He has used the Sindhi words in a way that penetrates the heart of reader deeply and this is the sole reason that makes Mr. Banbhan different from other poets and that is why people prefer his poetry and his ideas and I am of this idea too. The originality of language should be revived from which, unfortunately, we and our generations are completely detached and that responsibility has been taken by the young and enduring poet Nisar Banbhan on his shoulders. In just a few years, Mr. Banbhan has contributed immensely in Sindhi poetry and prose. Banbhan's poetry mainly focuses on love, romance and sadness. A lot of poems have brought him forward to stand with the leading poets of Sindh. Among many, Nazmun Ja Aagur and Neeran jy buk main are the books of most admirable poet – Nisar Banbhan.
Mr. Banbhan has written several poetry books, and a Novel. Mr. Banbhan is considered to be the young Sindhi romantic poet. Mr. Banbhan draws much of inspiration from his own traumatic childhood experiences of an upbringing in rural Sindh. However, his poetry is more than creative expression. Nisar Banbhan is well-known for his famous poems on love. This is my point of view that in any language, the novelty of dialects according to the requirement and expectations of a nation has the power to contort the ideas of people and infuse a new soul in them; this is the identity of a modern literature. Portraying the colors of new ideas and introducing new parlance, jargons, phrases, vernacular, idioms and examples are also the base of modern literature whether those are used in poetry or prose. Voltaire, a French renowned legendary person, once said: "My woe, who tortures me daily with new ways, is looking the adherent of novelty." I saw that type of novelty in Nisar's poetry; he is the plougher of language, his life cutback is his words, ideas and poetic lores.
Mr. Nisar Banbhan also wrote long plays, drama Serials, short films for web channels, in Sindhi and Urdu languages for PTV Home, KTN, Sindh TV, Awaz TV and Mehran TV. He is not only an educationist but also possesses an identity of his own – his social work and his critical thinking. He has not only written many short stories in Sindhi language but has a number of TV plays and serials to his credit. Being an educationist and sensitive poet, Mr. Nisar Banbhan is also a drama writer. He writes for several TV channels and web channels in Sindhi and Urdu language, numbers of drama serial, art plays, long plays including the popular drama serial ‘’Do Ghount Zindagi’’ which was written for PTV Home. He is a professional writer and any drama and film industry can approach him.
