Nurul Islam Chowdhury, also known as Bedar Miah, is a Bangladeshi zamindar, politician and patron of the now Eidgaon Upazila in Cox's Bazar District. He was elected chairman during the 1970s and began a career in the development of Eidgaon Upazila. [1] The Islamabad Union was named according to his middle name. He has established educational institutions and mosques namely Jahan Ara Islam Girls High School, North Lorabak Sikdarpara Primary School, Sultania Hafizia Madrashah, Sultania Mosque in SikdarPara[2]
