Oluwaseun Abiola (born in September 1977) is a Nigerian in the healthcare industry. He started out as a practicing dental surgeon and went on to become the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Carter Biggs, a healthcare logistics company in Nigeria. Dr Abiola was appointed by the Nigerian government as a Logistics partner for healthcare in 2020 and is also the present CEO of Cresentdeen Ltd, a solutions provider for the informal sector of transport in Lagos, Nigeria.

Education[edit]

Abiola graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos. He practiced as a dental surgeon in Lagos before relocating to the United Kingdom where he became Practice Manger at Ann Christie.

Career[edit]

Abiola decided to diversify his portfolio which led him to venture into real estate, where he took part in letting, sales, and development. During this time he met his business partner, the current Ooni of Ife and they set up a real estate development company which ran for 10 years. During this period, he built infrastructure and real estate projects across Lekki and developed over 1000 homes.

A shift of interest came about again, and he moved to Abuja to begin consulting. 2 years into his consulting business, he worked for the Kano state government on IGR[1] The FCT, and Oyo state. In the IGR space he collaborated on a lot of work with the healthcare board and the Board of tele revenue kano, in the healthcare space he developed various solutions that increased their revenues by 1,000%.

Carter Biggs[edit]

Carter Biggs[2], a health care logistics company was founded by Abiola to fill the gap in the Nigerian Health sector by providing delivery and management services for various medical and health facilities to ensure that citizens have steady access to various necessary medical supplies.

Nigeria is currently lacking in the health logistics industry[3] and Carter Biggs provides a solution to the gap in the system as the Pioneer healthcare logistics company.

Cater Biggs now works with Lagos state on the COVID-19 sample collection and distribution on behalf of the Lagos states private life consortium, some of the other services they provide include handling the isolation projects for Lagos state government in terms of passengers coming in from Red List countries . The company manages the Lagos state oxygen plants, distribution, supplies of oxygen to the infectious disease hospital, they also provide logistics for the Lagos State blood transfusion service, handling logistics for the COVID care package distribution for patients that have mild to moderate symptoms, amongst other services.

Abiola is married to Lolade Abiola.
