Erika Amaka Enyolu (born 1 October 1985), better known as PR Diva, is a Canadian PR executive, event producer, investor, philanthropist and a serial entrepreneur.[1] Best known for establishing PR Diva Communications, an entertainment and lifestyle public relations-focused digital agency.[2][3]
She also co-founded When Fashion Meets, a fashion networking and brand-launching platform. She serves as head of public and media relations for African Fashion Week Toronto (AFWT), an Afro-inspired nonprofit initiative by Afro Centre for the Arts based in Toronto, Canada.[4]
Early life
Diva was born on 1 October 1985 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She completed her tertiary education in Windsor, Ontario.[1]
She graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies from the University of Windsor. Later, she relocated back to Toronto where she did an internship at CFXJ-FM in their marketing and promotion department. After finishing her internship, she started working at CTV Television Network in their Corporate Finance department.
She transitioned to the entertainment industry as a freelancer where she played background actress roles in addition to being a red-carpet celebrity assistant. As a red-carpet assistant, she worked at North American award shows, including the NAACP Image Awards, the Juno Awards and Canada's Walk of Fame.[1] During this period she worked with A-list celebrities.
Career
Diva worked as a marketing manager at SNC-Lavalin, an engineering and construction company where she attained her managerial position until she quit the company.
She later founded PR Diva Communications in 2014. With PR Diva Communications, she has worked with A-list celebrities in music, fashion, film and sports industry.[1]
Awards
The recipient of numerous accolades, including two RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards nominations, Erika is the recipient of The Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada 2016 and PR in Canada 2015 Top 30 under 30.[1] Recognized in the Founders Spotlight 2022 by Digimillennials[5]
