Paras Tomar is an Indian Artist, Television Personality, Radio Personality, Model, and Entrepreneur. He was a Journalist for multiple leading Indian media outlets and worked for the Vancouver-based radio station respectively. He is now primarily active as an Actor & Entrepreneur[1][2]

Biography

Paras was born on 22 October in New Delhi, India. His hometown is Shimla, India. Paras obtained his primary education from Naval Public School, also currently known as Navy Children School. Subsequently, he furthered his junior college training at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai before successfully obtaining his degree in Mass Media from the Mumbai-based Jai Hind College. Paras Tomar is currently residing in Mumbai, India.

Journalism

Paras began his journalism career as a freelance journalist at the young age of sixteen, focusing on youth supplements for The Times Group. Soon he freelanced with The Week (Indian magazine), The Asian Age, and others before becoming Bombay Times's entertainment journalist. In August 2019, Paras Tomar made a comeback with his weekly column in Mumbai Mirror.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

Television

At nineteen years old, Paras hosted E Tonight, which began his career in television for CNN IBN's entertainment show. Later, Minus 30 from CNN IBN became Tomar's own show. Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz soon became his new hosting show, which aired on Life OK. Paras helmed another show called "BLAH," a weekly parody entertainment show. This occurred while he was working as a consultant anchor for Headlines Today after quitting CNN IBN. Subsequently, he worked for Entertainment Quarter channel's show before deciding to pursue a career as a freelance television anchor. Paras is well known for television shows that include ZOOM, the red carpet of Star Screen Awards for Star Plus. He was the host of The Salt n Pepper show for Zee Muzic and Buzz of the week for Zee Cinema. IBNLive showcased an adventure travel show that allowed Paras to travel to 12 Indian cities. Another show by IBNLive, Shining B schools of India, featured Paras exploring the subcontinent's business education. Eventually, Paras successfully hosted the NDTV Good Times channel's show for two seasons, namely Heavy Petting- It's a Dog's Life and Heavy Petting- All Stars. Paras recently hosted the third season of History TV18 Series OMG! Chhattisgarh in 2018.[9][10][11][12][13]

Radio

Paras was the host of the Morning Show on RJ1200 CJRJ, a Canada-based Radio station running South East Asian programmes, since August 2011. The morning show is broadcast from Mumbai to Vancouver from Monday to Friday 6 am to 10 am Pacific Time Zone. Tomar was also one of the founding members of Your FM, an Indian station in Bahrain. He helped to hire talent and hosted their drive time shows in the initial months of the launch before returning to India.[14]

Actor

Paras starred in Season one of the Amazon Prime series Four More Shots Please!. He went on to portray a restaurateur in the Viu (streaming media) series Love Lust & Confusion in both seasons of the show. Paras also played the character Javed in the Zee5 original digital feature film titled Sec377 Abnormal.
