Professor Pathmajeewa Ganepola MRCP, MD is a Sri Lankan born professor attached to Columbia University, New York.[1]
Early childhood & education[edit]
Following his education at Nalanda College, Colombo, Pathmajeewa Ganeploa went on to become the first international student to graduate[citation needed] from Kyoto University, Japan. He later became the first Sri Lankan to be recognized by the then Congress of Neurological Surgeons as a Neuro Surgeon in the United States. [2][not in citation given][3]
Career[edit]
He is the Medical Director of the Center for Cancer Research and Genomic Medicine at The Valley Hospital in Bergen County, New Jersey. In 2008, He became the first physician to be officially invited to address the Annual Global Forum for Economic and Social Issues, held at the Performance Theatre, New Delhi.[citation needed]
