Pinkky Rajgarhiya (born 2 October 1977) is a Child psychologist and an Indian Social Worker. The winner of the Miss Asia Pageant 2017,[1] Pinkky is one of India's well known social activist and child psychologist. She has received numerous accolades, including Samaj Ratna & Star of Asia at Indian Solidarity Council and various other prestigious titles. In 2018, the Government of Nepal honoured her with Nepal Gaurav and was also the Asian Ambassador of Sports Association of India.[2] In 2019, She was felicitated and announced as Brand Ambassador of Nepal Tourism (Pradesh No 1) by Ministry of Tourism, Government of Nepal[3]
Although Pinkky initially aspired to study Law and become a Lawyer to fight for the violence against women in India, she opted for being a social worker and helping children and women of the country, which came as a result of founding Chingari Shakti Foundation. Though being the winner of various pageants and prestigious titles, she aims to work for the betterment of society with an intention to help the Underprivileged children and women. She is a multi-talented lady symbolizing culture, values, and humanity regardless of being from the glamour industry. She is also a true representation of a modern Indian woman highly rooted with traditional values.
Following a brief setback, she transformed herself from a housewife to a pageant winner and then a social worker. In 2016, she gathered her first success of being Mrs Eastern India 2016, Mrs India fitness 2016 and thereafter she never looked back. In 2017, she won the most prestigious pageant title of Mrs. Asia 2017 which gave her more confidence[4] for future plans. After winning the most prestigious title she then thought of returning to her social work.
Pinkky also promotes social causes such as “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” women's rights, and is vocal about Education, Health Care and Women's empowerment. She is currently working as a Brand Ambassador for Vallabhdas Dagra Institute (VDIS) a school for differently able children.
In 2018, she was also the brand Ambassador for Saahas Foundation which works for ACID Victims[5] and Srujna Charitable Trust that empowers underprivileged women in India through livelihoods. She is also the founder of Chingari Shakti Foundation which aims toward working on Education, Health Care and Women Empowerment.
Early life
Pinkky Rajgarhiya was born on 2 October 1977 in Dharan, Nepal (Sunsari District of Province No. 1), to Chandrakala & Manohar Jindal. Chandrakala is a social worker and Manohar was a businessman. Her father was a Hindu from Dharna Nepal. Her mother Chandrakala from Hisar (city), Haryana, is the eldest daughter of Harbanshrai Goyal, who was a social worker and political veteran. Her late maternal grandfather, Mr. Goyal was Hindu belonging to the Haryanvi family of Hisar, Haryana. Pinkky has three elder brothers, [1] Krishna Jindal, [2] Pawan Jindal [3] Rajesh Jindal, who are based in Kathmandu.
Due to her parents' professions as a businessman and social worker, she has been following the tradition and footsteps of her parents of being a businesswoman and a social worker. She took her education in St. Mary's High School in Kathmandu. In an interview published, Pinkky said that she was very lucky to belong to a family of social workers which she is now taking ahead as a social worker. In 1992, Pinkky came to India for her further education and she accommodated herself at YWCA Hostel, in Pune, Maharashtra. In 1998, she completed her graduation in Psychology from Symbiosis International University, Pune, Maharashtra. She also pursued her diploma in Fashion designing from JD Institute of Fashion Technology along with her graduation. In 2007, Pinkky pursued her Diploma in Child psychology from D G Khetan School, Malad, Mumbai.
At a very early age in 1998, Pinkky got married in a Marwari family to Prashant Rajgarhia who is a well-known businessman with traditional values. She is now a mother of two wonderful daughters Preeya Rajgarhiya and Siyaa Rajgarhiya. In 2016, Pinkky won her first pageant title Mrs Eastern India, Mrs. India Fitness & Mrs. Popular Mrs India. In 2017, She won the prestigious title of Mrs. Asia & Mrs Universe Business Lady of the Year. She has also been recognized as a Women of Substance for her contribution toward society. After achieving success and fulfilling her dreams, she thought of following her family tradition of social work. On 7 December 2018, she gave birth to her third child “Chingari Shakti Foundation” which works on Education, Women Empowerment, Safety, Health and Hygiene of society.[6]
Work -Life
After winning the title of Mrs. Asia 2017 in Durban, South Africa, Pinkky decided to come back to her path of helping Underprivileged children and empower women of India. On 7th December 2018, she registered her foundation as “Chingari Shakti Foundation” which will look after the problems and issues faced for education, health, hygiene, safety and empower women to achieve their aims and ambitions and fulfil their dreams. While laying the foundation stone she had to face various challenges in order to streamline her personal and social life. Being articulate and multifaceted social worker, her aim is to mentor every woman in the country through women empowerment, skill development and health awareness for shaping the future of the country. Through Chingari Shakti foundation her social work has been published in various print media such as The Times of India, Hindustan Times & many more for valuable contribution towards society.[7]
Since 2018, Pinkky through her foundation has been actively involved in reaching out to every corner of Maharashtra and other states as well. Through her Non-governmental organization, she also organized several Self-defense Camps, Skill Development, Safety-Training, Health care Screening and Hygiene awareness camps for girls and women. In 2019, she worked day and night to provide proper food and clothing and other essential services to the needy people in the interior parts of India. She believes, voicing your opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance. With an initiative to give back to her society wants to voice her opinions and help for a greater cause.
Future Plans
Pinkky Rajgarhiya through Chingari Shakti Foundation aims to continue working for Education, Health Care and Women Empowerment in India and beyond. She wishes to create future leaders by mentoring and counselling the youth. She also aims on providing the best possible help care in many Rural and Urban parts of India. Her goal is to empower and enable women to achieve their aims and ambitions. Her passion for social justice, making a tangible difference in the community and resolving people's problems makes her an ideal candidate for a demanding position in politics. She's confident that if given the right platform she shall be able to contribute valuably to the growth of the community and country and prove to be an ideal role model for all girls and women.

In 2018, she was awarded Samaj Ratna,[8] by Shri Krishna Janmastami Mohatsav Samiti Punjabi Baug, New Delhi for her valuable contribution through her social work for underprivileged children and women in society.
