Polisport Group is a Portuguese brand known for its development and manufacturing of motorcycle accessories and bicycle accessories.[1][2]

Polisport, headquartered in Portugal, was established in 1978 by Pedro Araújo.[3][4]
The Polisport Group is made up of five international companies namely; Polisport Plásticos S.A., Polinter Plásticos S.A., Polisport Molds LDA, Headgy Helmets, and Polistar LTDA with a presence in over 70 countries across the globe.[5][6][7]
In late 2013, Polisport Group acquired the brand Bobike – Bicycle Safety Seats, a Dutch company and former competitor.[8]
Products and services[edit]
Polisport manufactures and distributes motorcycle and bicycle accessories including child bicycle seats, helmets, handguards, headlights, body protectors, dirtbike body plastics and other related accessories.[9][10][11][12] The Group sells majority of its output to foreign markets as well as being a key supplier for many OEM (original equipment manufacture) brands such as KTM, BMW, Suzuki, Decathlon, Husqvarna and Gas Gas.
Awards and recognitions[edit]
- 2009 – Won two IMDA Awards from the Inmold Decoration Association for Best Injection Mold Part and Best IMD Durable Product.[13]
- 2009 – Awarded with an Honorable Mention from COTEC, a Portugal’s National Innovation System for companies, for being one of the most innovative Portuguese SME.[14]
- 2010 – Recognized as the most innovative Portuguese company of Portugal by getting the PME Innovation COTEC-BPI award.[15][16]
- 2010 – Portuguese SME Excellence award[17]
- 2011 – Won two IF Design Awards: Product Design for Guppy bicycle baby seat and Material Design for Corky bicycle water bottle[18]
