Creation and registration[edit]
The Constituent Assembly of the Party ‘Respublika’ took place in Kyiv on May 22, 2011. The Party was registered after litigation with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.[1] on April 2, 2014 (Certificate № 226 p.p.).
The decision about creation Party ‘Respublika’ was made in 2010 during the ‘Second Winter Students` Republic’ by its participants, above all activists of the NGO ‘Students` Republic’[2]. Initiators wanted to build a ‘a new kind political force’.
Participation in election[edit]
The Party nominated its own candidates in the local elections, in particular, in 2015 in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Ternopil regions, Transcarpathia and Kyiv city. Also candidates were nominated for the post of mayor of Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Bucha (Kyiv region).
Has experience of participating in the special election to the Parliament of Ukraine (2015).
Participated in Civil Society Campaigns for the Right to Political Choice (during the Presidential Elections and the special election to the Parliament of Ukraine, 2019)[1].
Activities[edit]
Participants of the Party ‘Respublika’ actively organized and participated in numerous mass actions: protests (against the restriction of labor rights, oppression of freedom of speech, political persecutions, threats of neo-fascism, discrimination against LGBT people, ‘tariff genocide’, destructive changes in education) and manifestation (in particular, on March 8, May 1, May 8-9)[1][3][4]

The Political party ‘Respublika’ is a party of the New Left.[3]

According to the Statute, it consists of regional and territorial organizations and basic unit.
The central statutory bodies are the Congress, the Council, the Leader, the Central Executive Committee, and the Control and Revision Commission.

Printed body of the Party ‘Respublika’ is newspaper ‘New Republic’ (in Ukrainian: «Нова Республіка», Nova Respublika)[edit]
On April 28, 2016, was published the first issue of the newspaper ‘Nova Respublika’. In printed format the newspaper is published once a month, sometimes there are related issues. Also there is an electronic version of the publication. The newspaper is distributed by subscription.
