Patrick Thomas Julianelle (born November 25 1988), better known by his channel name, PopularMMOs. or his username, FuriousDestroyer, is an American Youtuber most well-known for his Minecraft videos. His videos were recognized early on in the Minecraft YouTube community as being family-friendly.[1]

YouTube career[edit]

By subscriber count, PopularMMOS is one of the most popular YouTube channels, garnering over 17 million subscribers and 14 million views in its 11-year history. The channel was a nominee for the 2019 Kids' Choice Awards.[2]

In addition to YouTube, Julianelle, along with his wife Jen, has authored several graphic novels in a series, PopularMMOs Presents,[3] several of which have been on the New York Times Best Seller List[4][5]

Controversies[edit]

Following the departure of Julianelle's wife from the channel, multiple controversies have arisen. He has had two relationship since the divorce. He was first arrested for domestic battery on May 16, 2021 after his girlfriend accused him of hitting her while intoxicated, with charges later being dropped.[6]

Another controversy occurred on November 6, 2022 during a Jacksonville Jaguars game, in which Julianelle's friend, Ethan Davies, ran across the field while shirtless, interrupting play. He was charged with criminal conspiracy and committing a breach of peace.[7][8] He has claimed innocence on both incidents, claiming he was falsely accused.[9]

Personal life[edit]

Julianelle was born November 25, 1988[10] in Connecticut, United States.[citation needed] He attended North Haven High School[11] In 2015, he married, Jennifer Lynn Flagg,[12] who he co-created videos with. She maintains a separate Youtube channel, GamingWithJen, which has 5 million subscribers.[13] The couple separated in 2019, with an announcement video being released on the PopularMMOS YouTube channel.[14] They finalized their divorce in 2020.[15]
