Probal DasGupta (1 January 1972) is an Indian author and former Indian Army officer.[1][2] He is the author of the book ‘Watershed 1967: India’s Forgotten Victory over China, published by Juggernaut Books[3], which explores the Nathu La and Cho La clashes of 1967 between India and China and events related to the two countries in that period.[4][5][6] Later, his book’s rights were acquired by Story Ink, a Mumbai-based books-to-film agency that hopes to create a film based on it in the near future with the partnership of Vikram Lamba of Bion Films.[7]

In November 2021, he became part of a special documentary series, ‘1971 Birth of a Nation' launched by Times Chronicles.[8]
