Product[edit]

Profitect’s prescriptive analytics uses artificial intelligence[4], pattern recognition, and machine learning[5] algorithms to analyze its customers' data, identify areas for improvement, and distribute them to an appropriate stakeholder.[6][7] Each notification includes a simple description of what was found and how the recipient should respond to it. Notifications may also be accompanied by relevant materials to facilitate resolution, such as links to CCTV footage, photos, or standard operating procedures.

Profitect offers its prescriptive analytics solution in the form of seven modules[8], each serving a different retail vertical. As of March 2019, the company's modules are:

  • Sales & EBR: analyzes transactional data at the point-of-sale, including sales, returns, refunds, coupon usage, etc.
  • Inventory: analyzes product behaviors and movements in and out of the store, including on-shelf availability, markdowns, adjustments, recalls, etc.
  • DC Operations: analyzes warehousing and distribution center data, including claims, picks, warehouse adjustments, driver and equipment utilizations, etc.
  • Logistics: analyzes data related to the movement of product and cartons throughout the supply chain, including receiving claims, deliveries, DSD receipts, efficiency[9], etc.
  • Planning & Buying: analyzes planning, buying, and vendor service data, including inventory locations, shipments to stores, allocator overrides, replenishment and distribution orders, etc.
  • Marketing: analyzes customer, sales, and promotional-activity data, including loyalty-program behaviors and efficacy, customer demographics, basket sizes, coupon usage, etc.
  • Mobile Field Application: provides access to Profitect from an enabled mobile device
