Punchline (character)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Punchline is a fictional character appearing in media published by DC Entertainment. She is the sidekick and girlfriend of the Joker, the archenemy of the superhero Batman.

Publication history[edit]

Punchline was created by writer James Tynion IV,[1][2][3] and first designed by artist Jorge Jimenez.[2] She first appeared in Batman #89 in February 2020, making a cameo appearance in one panel.[1][4] She had her first full appearance the following week in the third issue of Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen.[1] Pre-sales for both issues were high due to the anticipation of Punchline's release, so DC Comics ordered a second printing of each issue before they were even released.[5]
