R3VO (band)

R3VO is a Berlin-based progressive metal/rock band, originally formed under the name 'Revo' in 2019. The band consists of vocalist Leo Lotux, guitarist Jan Kurfürst, drummer Altaïr Chagué, and bassist and founder Victor Nissim.

In 2020, the band released their debut single 'The Stranger’, and then followed up with the release of two more singles in 2021, 'Paranoia' and 'Revocation'. Later that year, the band rebranded themselves as R3VO.

After an extensive touring phase around Germany and focusing on the city of Berlin, the band released their debut EP 'Fireflies' in 2022.[1]. The EP's first single, 'Artificial Pleasure', was accompanied by a music video directed by STRANGEWORKS, pioneer filmmaker of the Northern Germany metal music scene. The single received great feedback from both independent and mainstream music outlets, including KAAOSZINE, Heavy Magazine Australia, and Metal Hammer (Louder Sound UK). In June 2022, 'Artificial Pleasure' was ranked 7th on Metal Hammer's article 'The 10 best new metal songs you need to hear right now' by writer Rich Hobson, where the single was placed next to Parkway Drive’s single ‘Glitch’ and Lamb of God (band)’s ‘Nevermore’ [2]. R3VO's debut EP received high praise from several prominent music publications in the alternative music scene, and scored the band their first printed features and articles in the magazines Powerplay UK, Metal Hammer Germany, and Rock Hard Italy. The music video for the EP's title track, 'Fireflies', gained almost 170,000 views on YouTube within two weeks of its release.

The band has been rumored to have signed with Inside Out Music (Sony Music) at the beginning of 2023 and is said to be working on their first album with the label. However, neither the band nor the label has yet confirmed this.

R3VO is scheduled to open the popular Berlin open-air festival for heavy music 'Rocktreff' in June 2023 [3].

The group is part and occasionally leader of the present metal music movement in Berlin. Since their establishment in 2019, they have contributed to the scene by both participating and hosting events in support of independent heavy music [4]Category:Band
