Racella (born Racella De Guia sometimes spelled Deguia[3]) is a Filipino American American singer-songwriter, artist, record producer, and vocal arranger[4] from Delano, California[5][6] who is credited for writing for Kelly Rowland,[7] Dr. Dre,[8][9] Mary J Blige,[10] Jasmine V,[11] Janet Jackson, Tinie Tempah and more.[12] She also provided main vocals and background vocals for multiple established artist as well.[13][14][15]

Early life and Career[edit]

Racella De Guia was raised in Delano, California. At age nine she wrote her first song and was competing in vocal competitions by the age of eleven. By the age of fourteen she was professionally singing. Growing up De Guia could play the piano and the guitar by way of playing by ear.[16] In her late teens, De Guia taught herself how to engineer, mix, master, and vocally produce her own recording sessions. Upon receiving her degree from California State Univerity, Bakersfield, she moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in singing and songwriting.
