Rebecca Adewumi
Rebecca Adewunmi, who was born in the year 1942 was a 70 year old woman. She was killed on the 20th of June, 2012, for allegedly being a witch. The incidence which happened in Omuo Ekiti, Ekiti State in Nigeria, was said to have been incited when a little girl dreamt that Adewunmi had a hand in her step son's sickness.[1]
Three people, one of which was a chief in Omuo Ekiti,[2] were remanded and denied bail in court as the primary perpetrators of this act.[3][4]

She was murdered by the youths of the town. This was after she was accused of using witchcraft to kill her step son who was named, Ola. The youths went to her house and forced her to drink poison and after that bruised her with beatings and floggings. All these torture led to her death.[5]
