Rebecca Myers, JD; (Born in 1963) is an American attorney, business executive and entrepreneur. Myers is the Founder & CEO of FARMACEUTICALRX, a leading multi-state operator and therapeutics company focused on bringing innovations through research and development to the medical marijuana sector. FARMACEUTICALRX has a vertically integrated multi-state operational platform. FARMACEUTICALRX and its affiliated companies are licensed to offer high quality medical marijuana therapeutics to more than 26 million patients in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Myers is also the Founder & CEO of Cannex Scientific, a biotech company developing cannabis-based solutions for Large Global Unmet Health Needs through both R&D with premier academic partners and through the development of cannabinoid therapies.

Academic Career[edit]

Rebecca Myers has a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Philosophy from Fordham University in New York City. Myers has a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law. Myers has participated in multiple Negotiation Workshops for Executives at Harvard Law School, a graduate of the Finance for Executives Program at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and has completed multiple programs focused on innovative organizations at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Myers has participated in the Executive speaking circuit including as a panelist on the “Lean In” Dialogue & Debate Panel at the Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference in Washington, DC.

Business Career[edit]

Prior to founding FARMACEUTICALRX, Myers was the Founder & Managing Director of Shaw Road LLC, a boutique healthcare consulting firm headquartered in Orlando, Florida which represented Colonial Management Group, the second largest operator of outpatient opioid dependency centers and Modern Health, a national specialty pharmacy company. Myers had a short tenure with Optum Health where she assisted with the integration of the Connextions business unit into Optum’s operations. Myers was the head of pharmacy operations, business development, M&A, and capital markets for Rotech Healthcare, the third largest provider of respiratory care and DME in the US. Myers was the head of pharmacy contracting, business development, legal, human relations and regulatory affairs for ValueRX, the largest independent pharmacy management company in the US that was sold to Express Scripts. Myers was the head of regulatory affairs, network management, and contracting for Preferred Health Care, a public company that merged with Value Behavioral Health. Myers ran security, supply chain management and regulatory affairs globally and assisted with capital market activities for Trans World Airlines. Myers commenced her career as a criminal prosecutor in the Bronx District Attorney’s office where she handled high profile media cases in the Special Victims unit with a focus on juvenile offenses, sex crimes and domestic violence cases. Myers prosecuted the 1989 Matter of Moto case which eventually established the rules for speedy trials for juvenile offense prosecutions in New York State and she handled several high-profile cross borough cases in New York City involving violence against children. Myers is a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Florida Botanical Gardens & Zoo.

Early Life & Athletic Career[edit]

Myers was born in 1963 to Thomas and Ruth Jean Myers. Myers was one of the first girls to play on the all-boys little league and pony league baseball teams in Pennsylvania, Myers was also one of the early girls to play basketball on the boys elementary and junior high school teams and football on the Laurel Pop Warner football team. Myers was an All-American and All-State High School basketball player at Laurel High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Myers held numerous high school record including the all -time scoring record with 1305 career high school points: a record that stood 38 years until broken in 2019. Myers was also a stand out in high school in track & field where she was the WPIAL Champion in the 800 meters for 2 consecutive years. Her time of 2:22 still stands today as the Laurel high school record. Myers was also a three-time WPIAL champion in the Javelin and won the Pennsylvania State Title her senior year setting a Pennsylvania State Class A State record with a throw of 156 ft. This throw still stands as an all-time high school record. Myers went on to receive a full NCAA Division 1 scholarship for basketball from Fordham University where she was the starting point guard for three seasons setting a school record for single game assists of 18. Myers was inducted into the Lawrence County Historical Society’s Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Myers was also inducted into the Laurel High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.

Personal Life[edit]

Myers is married to Joy Bochner, a Yale University graduate, nutrition writer, vegan cooking chef and teacher. They have one daughter.
