Notable recognition[edit]

Redthread's Youth Violence Intervention Programme (YVIP) was commended in the Home Office’s Modern Crime Prevention Strategy as a case of best practice in reaching young people who have been affected by violence, at a ‘Teachable Moment’.[3]

Then Mayor of London, Boris Johnson commented on Redthread's YVIP saying that “These specialist workers, at the emergency frontline, are helping to break the cycle of reoffending, offer young people the support they need to seek a way out of violent lifestyles and making London safer for everyone.[4]

Redthread won the Youth Work Award and the Children and Young People's Charity Award at the 2013 Children and Young People Now Awards. It received High Commendation for the Partnership Working Award for its work with King's College Hospital.[5]

Redthread was shortlisted for The Centre for Social Justice Awards in 2015 and was a finalist in the GSK IMPACT Awards in 2016.[6][7]
