RoomsTonite was a mobile app that enabled hotel bookings for last minute travelers in India.[2][3] It was promoted by Bengaluru and Headquartered RoomsTonite eBookings Pvt Ltd. The company was shut down on 15 March 2017.

History

RoomsTonite was in beta version until December 2014.[4] The app was free to download[5] and listed unsold room inventories by offering discounts to its users.[6] The company claimed to be one of the first companies in India[7] to offer mobile app-only last minute focused hotel booking services.[8]

Suresh John was the founder and CEO of RoomsTonite.[9][10][11] Karthick Prabu was the chief product officer.[12]

RoomsTonite was a free app to download on Google Play Store and Apple iOS.[13] It also offered 24x7 customer care service[14] called RoomsTonite Assist.[15][16]

RoomsTonite also allowed hoteliers to quickly sell its unsold room inventory.[17]

3rd day booking

On September 2015, RoomsTonite announced the expansion of its booking window by another day, enabling customers to check-in for the day after tomorrow too.[18]

Shutdown

On 15 March 2017, the RoomsTonite app and website shut down after operations costs increased and funds dried out following a failed $1.5 million fundraising bid. Both the website and mobile app (Android & iOS) were taken offline.[19]
