History
Safari Industries traces its origins to 1974, when it was initially established to produce plastic-moulded luggage products such as suitcases and briefcases. The business was later restructured, and Safari Industries (India) Limited was formally incorporated on 8 July 1980 in Mumbai. It was converted into a public limited company and went public in 1986.
In 2011–2012, the company underwent significant changes when Sudhir M. Jatia, former Managing Director of VIP Industries, acquired a controlling stake and took over as Managing Director, driving expansion and diversification. Since then, Safari has grown its product lines and market reach.
