Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta (born 06 October 1991) better known by his stage name Sai Kaustuv, is a motivational speaker.[1].

Career

Sai was a dancer up to 5 and half years. During 1996, Sai started learning music and became a child prodigy.Sai Kaustuv was continuing his studies as a regular student. In 2001, he fall down and fractured both of his legs which made him confined into a wheelchair[2].

In 2015 he delivered a speech at TedX.[3].

Personal life

Sai Kaustuv was born as Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta on October 06, 1991 in Siliguri, West Bengal, and he is currently residing in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh from past 14 years. He Pursuing B.Com. (Computers) at S.P.V.M Degree College, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

Disability

Sai suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta or Brittle Bone disease[4][5] and had more than 50 fractures till date in 27 years of his life. He was three months old when he incurred his first fracture in right shoulder. He came out of the small room in the year 2015 in a new electric wheelchair after struggling for 6 years.

In 2018, he entered into Asia Book of Records for Fastest Virtual Typing with one finger.[6]

Sai has received many national and international awards from childhood[7].

  • Winner of All India Wheelchair Wanderlust Competition 2016 by UMOJA[9] .
