Sai Praneeth Burrah, popularly known as the Andhra Pradesh Weatherman,[1][2] is an Indian weather blogger from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.[3][4] He provides weather forecasts through his website and social media platforms.[5] He has been providing forecasts since August 2020.[6]
On July 25, 2021, during the Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi praised him for helping farmers whose livelihoods have been affected due to a lack of real-time weather updates.[7] Sai Praneeth's work was also appreciated and recorded in the UN Habitat journal which was published in June 2021.[8]
Early life
Sai Praneeth is a gold medallist from Anna University, Chennai in 2017.[9]
Career
Sai Praneeth works as a software engineer in Bangalore. His curiosity and concern towards climate drive him to spend hours together daily studying various weather models and post accurate updates on his social media accounts from time to time.[10]
