Actions[edit]

The Sail and the Storm, the story of a coastal Syrian city during the Second World War, in which the writer portrayed with amazing skill the impact of the war and the storms it left in a country occupied by the French and the most prominent contradictions that preyed on a heterogeneous society, but first it is the story of the seamen, the story of victory over cruel nature, the story of human will and adventure . In the Arabic novel, the sea is not mentioned without mentioning Hanna Minh, as if they are twins, but rather they are like that. They emerged from the womb of the Syrian coast, to crystallize together a literature that is immortal in time.

And about the sea, Hanna Mina says:

“The sea has always been my inspiration, so that most of my work is wet with the waters of a roaring wave, my flesh is the fish of the sea, my blood is its salty water, my struggle with sharks has been a life struggle, and storms have tattooed my skin I do not pretend to be chivalry, adventure yes! My ancestors are sailors, this is their profession. The son is learning his family’s craft. I became a professional working in the port as a porter, and I was also a sailor and I saw death in the blue waters. I did not give him a gift because death is a coward, for I was born with this salty water in my mouth, but this time it was the salt of misery, the salt of trials, and the salt of torment, both physically and spiritually, for the sake of holy freedom. The aspiration of mankind to salvation. Therefore, it was obvious that from my awareness of existence, I asked my questions about this existence, and that I should be baptized in the sea with storm water, and that I would suffer death as a struggle on land and sea together. And what is life, according to al-Trusi, the hero of the sail and the storm, but a struggle on sea and land without interruption, because that is one of the laws of nature, the safety of all of us. "»[5][6][7]
