Samanta is a global transformative education initiative endorsed by the UN Human Rights Office for early years social and emotional learning for ages 3 to 6[1]. The program meets 10 of the 17 UN Global Sustainable Development goals[2]. The program aims to end the discriminatory mindset and the cycle of violence across our world and ensure positive life outcomes for children, by creating a strong foundation for individual and societal progress, making communities safer, healthier, more equal and just[3]. The Country director of Samanta is Manjushree Patil[4][5][6], TEDx Speaker[7] & founder of Aatman Academy. Sonal Sachdev Patel CEO of GMSP Foundation[8] is a patron, and Actress Amy Jackson is an ambassador on the programme[9].

Samanta Education provides young people with a grounding in equality, empathy, peaceful conflict resolution, critical thinking, problem-solving, gender equality, emotional literacy, self-regulation, self-esteem, inclusion, environmental protection, a celebration of differences, collaboration among others.[10] Governments, policymakers and school networks adopt, and mandate, this programme as a new subject from the age of 3. Samanta currently reaches 5000 students in 130 classrooms across 6 states in India ( with a presence in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh[11]).[12]

Dr Craig Bailey from the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence has evaluated the programme[13].
