Sami Kohen (born 1928) is a Turkish journalist and columnist. He has written regular columns about foreign policy for Milliyet since 1954.[1]
Sami Kohen was born in 1928 in Istanbul. He comes from a Jewish family. His father is Albert Kohen. His father published the La Boz de Türkiye newspaper in Judaeo-Spanish and French, which after his fathers death was published in Turkish by Sami Kohen as Türkiye'nin sesi. Later, he worked at Tan, Yeni Istanbul and Istanbul Express newspapers. In 1954 he joined Milliyet. 6 years later in 1960, he married Mirka. He has two children named Jale and Alp.[2]
Besides Milliyet, Kohen also writes for Christian Science Monitor and The New York Times.
On October 12, 2020, Sami Kohen was given the High Service Award.[3][4]
