ScoutMyTrip Private Limited is an Indian online travel company founded in 2016.[1] Headquartered in Thane, Maharashtra the company provides travel planning services by allowing customers to hire locals, domestic holiday packages and hotel reservations. As of 31 March 2020, ScoutMyTrip was listing local experts in India, Nepal and Bhutan who service customers from all over the world.

ScoutMyTrip was founded by Deepak Ananth and Vineet Rajan.[2] It was launched in the Indian market in October 2016[3] to cater to travelers planning their road trips. The company also started to focus on non-road trip businesses like holiday packages and hotel bookings in 2019. On 4 April 2017, ScoutMyTrip Private Limited was invested in by Z Nation Lab with undisclosed angel investment amount[4]
In 2019, the company started actively seeking locals whom they referred to as Scouts to the platform for listing. In December 2019, the company launched their mobile app for Apple and Android mobile phones.

Products and Services[edit]
ScoutMyTrip offers a free trip planner, travel planning services for a fee and packages on its portal. ScoutMyTrip's free trip planner which provides all the basic required information for road trips that are planned in India.[3] The trip planner was launched in December 2016, which was the first service to be offered to Indian and International customers which allowed them to search for routes, gas stations hotels, toilets and places of interest all over India[12] marking them to the map.
The company also introduced holiday packages for the domestic markets in 2017 to popular destinations in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. The company also started offering travel planning services for a fee by on-boarding local experts from India, Nepal and Bhutan. The locals called Scouts, converse with the customers and build vacation itineraries. Scouts and customers need to download the mobile application which is available for Android and Apple phones.

ScoutMyTrip offers its services to travelers globally but for travel in India, Nepal and Bhutan. In August 2019, ScoutMyTrip had shown its interest to expand to Indonesia.[13] In December 2019, they formally announced plans to expand to South East Asia.[14]
