Shamil Rural District (Persian: دهستان شميل) is in Shamil District of Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Shamil.

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Takht District) was 22,280 in 4,949 households.[4] There were 24,154 inhabitants in 6,198 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 24,268 in 6,924 households. The largest of its 56 villages was Hasan Langi-ye Bala, with 1,943 people.[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Shamil District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]
