Shoaib Ahmed Malik

Shoaib Ahmed Malik is an assistant professor at Zayed University in Dubai.[1] He completed his Ph.D on Chemical Engineering from University of Nottingham in 2015. He also has Postgraduate Certificate on Education (PGCE) from the same institution. After that he has taken various positions in research and teaching. Which include teaching natural sciences (Physics and Chemistry), Mathematics and engineering modules at the high school and university level.[2] He also has I'jaza's on Hadith and Aqidah. His research has been published in international journals and he has attended several conferences around the world on science, education and on philosophy of science and religion.[3]

After completing his doctorate on Chemical Engineering, he realized that he wanted to pursue a career in theology and philosophy. He is currently preparing for a PhD in the field of science and religion at the University of Edinburgh.[4] Currently, he is writing a monograph on Evolution and al-Ghazali contracted by Routledge in which he tries to approach the subject from a theological perspective. This is due to be published in 2021.[5]
