Shree Shireesh Shantaram Kawade, an Electrical and Electronics engineer by training, is the Founder and President of organization named Shreepad Seva Mandal (SSM) [1], a spiritual-social foundation engaged in various activities through hundreds of centers spread across the five continents of the world. He is also the chief councilor for various projects of the Shreepad Seva Mandal currently underway in India.

Birth and early years[edit]

Shree Shireesh Dada (Shireesh Shantaram Kawade) was born in Jalgao-Jamod, in Buldhana District, Maharashtra, India, on 13 May 1961. He completed his primary school at Vani, Yavatmal District. He passed out as engineer on 1982 from government college of engineering Karad. He completed his masters degree and was working as Principal of Dnyaneshwar Vidyapeeth Pune. In 1987 he and some colleagues started an engineering college named Abhinav College of engineering and computer sciences. In his early age he used to do daily Pooja at home and used to participate in Devi Navaratra with great devotion. At early age he started reading spiritual books and mysticism. He was blessed with Darshan (Vision) of Mother Goddess of Mahur (Devi Renuka Mata) [2].

Initiation[edit]

At the tender age of twenty, he received Shaktipat Deeksha and initiation-rights from Sadguru Yogiraj Shree Mamasaheb Deshpande Maharaj. With the gift of Dynaneshwari P.P. Shree Shireesh Dada received from P.P.Shree Mamasaheb Deshapande his journey towards actual philosophy and inner linings of Dnyaneshwari started. He is the spiritual heir to the only branch of the lineage of Lord Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj of Akkalkot Swami Samarth, dedicated to the Shaktipat tradition. As ordained, since 1981, thousands of seekers and aspirants have been graced with Shaktipat and Naam Deeksha. Through his incessant study of old texts and traditions, he has attained a deep understanding of the ancient Shaktipat-Yoga institution and come to acquire through personal experience the knowledge and intricacies of the various processes of Shaktipat Deeksha. Notably he possesses an advanced knowledge of several esoteric sciences of Tantrashastra, Mantrashastra, Occult, Astrology, Palmistry and Numerology.

Current Work[edit]

He is engaged in the steadfast pursuit and in-depth study of the mysterious inner linings of Shree Dnyaneshwari, a grand offering of universal philosophy and a core classic by 13th century world renowned saint and intellectual, Shree Jnaneshwar Maharaj. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the ‘Shree Jnandev Siddhabet Tapovan Jnan-Yoga-Adhyatma Vidyapeeth and Foundation’[3], Alandi, India and the Founder and Chancellor of the ‘Shree Sant Muktai Dnyanpeeth’, Alandi, India. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Shree Vamanraj Prakashan’s periodicals ‘Shree Vamanraj’ dedicated to subjects dealing with ‘Krupa Yog’ and ‘Guru-devotion’ as well as ‘BaapRakhumaDeviVaru’ dedicated to higher studies and advanced research of the teachings of renowned litterateur and philosopher Shree Jnaneshwar Maharaj. He was the Editor-In-Chief of the project ‘Shree Nrusinha Kosh’, (published in 1996) an encyclopedia dedicated to the ancient deity Shree Nrusinha and is also the Editor-in-Chief of the project ‘Vari Kosh’, (will be published soon), an encyclopedia detailing one of the major centers of pilgrimage, Pandharpur, situated in the State of Maharashtra, India.


Literature[edit]

He is a prolific writer and a worthy preacher of saint-literature and a renowned expert of the gospel of 'Varkari' school. His discourses and research articles dedicated to Shree Dnyaneshwari, Shaktipat YogSadhana and saint-literature have been compiled and published extensively by 'ShreeVamanraj Prakashan'[1]. He has had more than One Hundred and twenty books published to-date and several of his books are soon to be released. Quite a few of these have been recipients of prestigious national awards and accolades. Many of his books have also been translated in other languages like Hindi, English and Kannada. He is blessed with a scintillating and divine inspiration for verse and several of his collections have been published and presented in the form of music compositions. He also published work / literatures by other revered persons like P.P.Sou. Shakuntal Agate [4] and P.P.Shree Mamasaheb Deshapande. Some well appreciated books by P.P.
