Shri Sanjay Singh was an officer of the Indian Forest Service and a conservationist. Sanjay was killed in the line of duty by Maoist elements of the mining mafia in the Rehal forests of Rohtas district, Western Bihar.[2] The Shaheed Sanjay Singh College was named after him. In 2017, four individuals, including a Maoist Communist Centre commander, were sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Sanjay Singh.[3]
