Shujaat Ali Quadri is an Indian youth activist and Sufi Sunni speaker.[1][2][3] He is the National president of Muslim Students Organisation of India, an apex student & youth body of Muslims of India having thousands active members all over India.[4][5] Qadri is an active supporter of Palestinian statehood,and strongly condemn the Israeli's apartheid policies with Palestinian [6][7]

He is also Youth Convener of India Palestine Solidarity Forum (IPSF) an Indian branch of the group Global March to Jerusalem. Quadri is also the Convener, Secretary of several organizations: Nationalist Students Federation, Yuwa Kranti, and Bharat Bachao Andolan (Movement to Save India).[8][9][10]

Early Life and Background[edit]

Shujaat Ali Quadri was born in a family of traditional Sufi Sunni Muslims in Kaisarganj, Bahraich in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Shujaat Ali Quadri is a well known Sufi by faith.[11][12][13]

Activism[edit]

Shujaat reports being involved in the promotion of the Sufi way of Islam since from 1999 when he joins MSO of India. He has organized several rallies and programmes in favor of Palestine[14][15]

Global March to Jerusalem[edit]

Shujaat Was the youngest participant of Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ)2012,among the all participants of the twelve countries. He was also the chief organizer of International Palestine conference held on 16 March 2013 at Kennedy auditorium AMU Aligarh, and 14 July 2012 at Pink City Press club Jaipur, in which Second consul of Palestine embassy to India Zuhair Ziad Hamdalla Was attended.[16]

March for Palestine[edit]

In Solidarity with Palestinian People, Shujaat organized Protest March against Israel on 23rd Nov 2012 at Jaipur, India. He said that he condemns in harshest terms, the Israeli attack against the people of Palestine. Israel started this War when it broke truce by assassinating the Hamas leader Ahmad Jabari who was working on a long-term truce with Israel.“As ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has come into effect so his view is that Turkey, Iran and Egypt can play a positive role by permanently bringing an end to this problem.[17]

Against Saudi Salafi Wahabi Movement[edit]

According to Daily O, Shujaat Ali Quadri described the Salafi and wahabi movement are promoting the extremism in the world. He criticized Saudi Arabian government for silently supporting Israeli aggression by not speaking against it or by not exerting pressure on it.[18][17]

Against the Homosexuality[edit]

Shujaat Ali Quadri raise their voice against the homosexuality and sodomy. He said in a conference that Homosexuality is an evil and threat to the very institution of the society. The gays, lesbians or bisexuals have a disease which can be cured but society can't allow them to shatter the family system.[19]

Anti Terrorism Conference[edit]

As of 2017, Quadri is also national spokesperson of All India Tanzeem Ul Islam (A national Organization working on Anti-Terrorism and Sufism) and organized anti Terrorism Conference in Delhi which was attended by several hundred Sufis and Islamic Ulemas.[20][21][22]
