Deeply embedded in the cultural roots of Odisha, Sidharth TV Network is the pioneer of change in entertainment, be it music, movies, television or digital medium in India.[1]. Existing since 4 decades in the trade, the network offers a plethora of innovative premium entertainment content to the common Odia viewers. The network owned by Sitaram Agrawalla and wife Namita Agrawalla[2].

History[edit]

Sitaram Agrawalla has been a brand in the entertainment industry of Odisha since 4 decades. Established in 1983, they becomes Odisha’s first music company under the brand label JE and in 1985 they formed audio recording studio of Odisha in the name JE Studio[3].

In 1999, they founded the brand Sarthak with the launch of Sarthak Music for album releases.

The group had launched their firstever TV channel Sarthak TV in 2010, which had become the No 1 GEC in a span of 4 years. It was later sold to Zee Entertainment Enterprises in 2015, and rebranded then as Zee Sarthak.

As a consequences of dealing with Zee, they sacked the brand 'Sarthak' (for television only) and reintroduced themselves as 'Sidharth' in 2015.

On 2017, They had launched 2 FM Stations for Bhubaneswar & Rourkela cities, playing 100% Odia songs under the brand – 91.9 Sarthak FM.

In 2020, they received 4 TV Channel Licenses in the Non News Category from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (India) & preparing for a grand re-entry in Odia television space.

On 15th May 2021, Sitaram Agrawalla & Namita Agrawalla, owners of Sidharth TV Network has launched two new TV channels Sidharth TV, a General Entertainment Channel and Sidharth Gold, for Music & Movies[4].

The network also running a devotional TV channel Sidharth Bhakti since 1st April 2021[5].

The Network is also planning to launch one more channel Sidharth Music for Odia music lovers by end of 2021[6]
