Simplus is a privately held company and provider of Salesforce Quote-to-Cash consulting, implementations, change management, advisory services, and managed services. Simplus is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was founded in 2014.[1] As of 2019, Simplus has over 500 employees located in four continents and spanning 17 different nationalities and 20 languages. Simplus was acquired by India-based IT exporter Infosys in the fourth quarter of FY 2020.[2]

History[edit]

Simplus was co-founded by current CEO, Ryan Westwood, and current COO, Isaac Westwood, in 2014 under the name Outbox Systems. Simplus has since grown within the consulting partner tiers at Salesforce and received four investment rounds from Salesforce. Simplus has supported its growth with several high-level acquisitions, awards, and executive appointments.[3][4][5] Simplus opened an office in Manila in the summer of 2017. In 2019, Simplus launched Simplus Australia and Simplus Europe after completing international acquisitions.[6] The company has been recognized by Utah Business, USA Today, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, and Inc. for its workplace culture and successful onboarding of new employees gained through acquisitions.[7][8][9][10][11] Infosys, IT exporter from India acquired Simplus in the month of Feb 2019.[12]

Funding[edit]

Simplus closed its first funding round in September 2016 and raised $7.3 million in the Series A.[13] In November 2017, Simplus raised another $9.3 million in a Series B funding round.[14][15] EPIC Ventures and Salesforce Ventures participated in both rounds.[16] A Series C funding round was completed in 2019, led by KSV and Salesforce Ventures, raising $20 million for a total of $42 million raised to date.[17][18][19]

Acquisitions[edit]

In 2016 Simplus completed its first acquisition with the Los Angeles-based consultant group BaldPeak Consulting.[20] In 2017 Simplus acquired three companies, including EDL Consulting, Basati, and CRM Manager.[21][22][23] In 2018, Simplus acquired a Salesforce and Oracle partner, the Silicon-Valley based CirrusOne.[24][25][26][27][28] In 2019, Simplus acquired Sqware Peg, a Salesforce consulting partner located in Australia, and Clout Partners, a Salesforce consulting partner based in Dublin and London.[29][30][31][32][33][34] In total, Simplus has completed seven acquisitions in three years.[35]

Partners[edit]

Simplus’ previous partnership with SteelBrick (now known as Salesforce CPQ since acquired by Salesforce) was key to Simplus’ growth and rising presence in the market. Currently, Simplus continues a strong partnership with Salesforce as well as with other third-party Salesforce application partners, including DocuSign, Conga, Prodly, and enosiX.[36][37][38][39]
