SocialPilot is an Indian social media management platform founded in 2014 by Jimit Bagadiya and Tejas Mehta. It provides digital marketing solutions primarily to small and medium-sized businesses and marketing agencies. The company was acquired by Sweden-based SaaS conglomerate group.one in July 2025.
History
SocialPilot was launched in 2014 as a bootstrapped startup by entrepreneurs Jimit Bagadiya and Tejas Mehta in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Over the years, it expanded globally and reached a customer base of more than 13,000 businesses by 2025.[1]
On July 15, 2025, group.one, a leading digital solutions provider based in Sweden, announced the acquisition of SocialPilot in a deal reported to be worth over ₹400 crore (~US$50 million).[2][3]
Reception
SocialPilot received recognition in industry reports and software review platforms. In the Fall 2022 G2 Report, the platform was listed as a leader in the small business category and earned the “Users Love Us” badge.[4]
Acquisition
In July 2025, SocialPilot was acquired by group.one, a European digital services provider with over 2 million customers across 15 countries. The acquisition was one of the largest exits for a bootstrapped SaaS startup in India.[1][2][3]
