"Something's Gotta Give" is a song by Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello, included on her debut studio album Camila (2018). It was written by the singer, Sarah Hudson, James Abrahart, Jesse Saint John and its producer The Futuristics and co-producer Frank Dukes. Commercially, it debuted in Ireland and Portugal, peaking at 95 and 72, respectively. Moreover, in Brazil, "Something's Gotta Give" received a gold certification for 20,000 copies sold in the country.[1]
Background and release[edit]
The song was originally titled "A Good Reason to Go", revealed by the singer a livestream.[2] Cabello revealed to Zane Lowe on the interview for Beats1 presented by Apple Music that the song is her mom Sinuhe Cabello Estrabao's favorite.[3]
Live performances[edit]
Cabello first performed the song on Never Be the Same Tour at Vancouver, where the singer implied that the song have a political or social meaning honoring Black Lives Matter and March for Our Lives.[4]
