Sophia Totterman (born September 23, 2004)[1], known online as Soph and previously LtCorbis, is a right-wing commentator and American former YouTuber best known for commentary gaming videos.

Career[edit]

YouTube[edit]

Totterman started her channel on August 10, 2015, and began uploading on December 23, 2015. The LtCorbis YouTube channel was a story time, drama, and commentary channel. On the channel, Totterman mainly commented on internet drama involving people and organizations such as the Fine Brothers, Jacob Sartorius, BuzzFeed. Additionally, she made story time videos detailing events from her life.[citation needed]

On March 9, 2016, a now-deleted Reddit user uploaded her video "Being Original" to the Pyrocynical subreddit. The following day, Pyrocynical would upload "The Worst Thing in All of YouTube" in which he praised her mature comedic style. As a result, she would go from 48 to over 150,000 subscribers overnight, and be featured on the DramaAlert show.[citation needed]

After a hiatus of uploading, Totterman would post "The Cyber Circlejerk", in which she chastises the commentary YouTubers such as LeafyIsHere, Pyrocynical, and NFKRZ as well as their viewers for being immature and unfunny. Additionally, this was the first video to be co-written by Victor, a previous editor working for Anthony Fantano.[citation needed]

Eventually, Totterman would rename the channel to soph.[citation needed]

On August 1, 2019, YouTube deleted Totterman's YouTube channel.[2]

Controversies[edit]

During the early days of Totterman's YouTube career, she would receive criticism for copying the style of other YouTube commentators such as LeafyIsHere, Pyrocynical, and iDubbbz. She would go on to admit that she is inspired by the aforementioned YouTubers as well as Sam Hyde.[citation needed]

Totterman received her first community guideline strike after uploading "Small Child Smokes Tea".[citation needed]

In April of 2019, Russian YouTuber NFKRZ would post screenshots from Totterman's Discord of her making Islamophobic statements. NFKRZ, Sophia, and Victor held a live debate discussing the tweet.[citation needed]

On May 13, 2019, Buzzfeed writer Joseph Bernstein wrote an article criticizing the "indoctrination" of Totterman by right-wing circles and allowance of hateful content on YouTube.[3]

In May of 2019, local news station KRON4 would report that an police investigation was conducted on Totterman due to threats made by her toward former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki.[4]

In 2019, Totterman would upload "Pride and Prejudice" and "Be Not Afraid". The content of these videos were deemed as hateful per the YouTube community guidelines, leading to a 3rd community guideline strike in 90 days and termination of the channel.[2]

Post-ban[edit]

Since the deletion of her channel, Totterman has uploaded videos with Victor onto Subscribestar behind a paywall. On it, she mainly makes political and religious opinion pieces and reaction videos. She also streams on Twitch.[citation needed]

Totterman became a Catholic.[citation needed]

After the ban, Totterman signed with Gavin McInnes' censored.tv. She cut ties with the platform in January 2023.[citation needed]

On Febuary 12, 2022, Totterman started uploading onto YouTube again through her empty second channel created May 27, 2016.[citation needed]
