St Charles' Primary School is a Roman Catholic primary school in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is named after St Charles - an Italian cardinal. The school’s catchment area includes the communities of Newton, Westburn, Drumsagard and the surrounding areas.[3] Trinity High School is St Charles' affiliated secondary school.[4]

History[edit]

On the 9th June 2011 the new St Charles' Primary School building located on Harvester Avenue opened.[3] In 2015 the school installed additional Portakabin classrooms and in 2018 it was announced the school would be getting a £3.7 million extension just seven years after the new school was built.[5][6] In 2019 the Morgan Sindall Group started construction on a new nursery at the site of the old St Charles' Primary School building, located near Newton Arms (a pub).[7]
