Swadhin Dekaraja (born 15 August 1953) is a former Indian footballer from Assam.[1] He is a retired officer of Oil India Ltd.[2]
Playing career[edit]
Dekaraja has played for Jute Mills Silghat team at the beginning of his career. After that he moved to Oil India FC of Duliajan.[2]
He has represented the Assam senior team in Santosh Trophy from 1975 to 1978.[2]
He has represented the senior India national football team many times. In 1975-76, Dekaraja has been selected to represent India national football team at Afghanistan. In 1976-77 he was named in the Indian team for the Merdeka Tournament in Jakarta. In 1978, he was back into the team again for matches in Bangkok.[2]
