Syed Faizan Sarkar (Hindi: सय्यद फैज़ान सरकार) is Young Indian social activist best known for his speeches, messages and sit-in-protest for compensation of the displaced of Batla House and his clashes with MLA Amanatullah Khan. He preaches the society to unite and to stop differentiating amongst ourselves basis caste, creed, colour or religion and to stop addiction of illegal drugs/alcohol in Okhla area of New Delhi.

Early life[edit]

Syed Faizan Sarkar was born on 3 June 1993 in New Delhi, India. He was the first child and son of Late Mr. Syed A Rizvi and BJ Khurshida. He has two sisters and two brothers. His father was a Gandhian social activist and Personal Secretory to Member of Parliament Rasheed Masood (CWC Member) who lived his life for social cause and justice

Faizan holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University.

Sit in protest at Batla House in July' 16 for houses demolished on Jamia land seeking compensation from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the displaced. Sarkar was among a few local leaders who had turned up on the day of demolition at the site and was detained for a few hours. [2]

Sarkar allegedly was beaten up by AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and FIR was lodged by the Delhi Police.[3]
