Syed Muhammad Hashmi Ashraf Al jilani[4] (Hindi: सैयद मोहम्मद हाशमी अशरफ, Urdu: سيد محمد هاشمي أشرف) also known as Ghazi E Millat[5] or Hashmi Miyan[6][7][8][9] (born on 29 october 1944 CE or 12 Zil Qayda 1363 AH) is an internationally recognised[10] Sunni Sufi sheikh and Islamic scholar from Ashrafpur Kichhauchha, Uttar Pradesh, India.[11][12] He is a son of Muhaddis e Azam e Hind,[4] younger brother of Syed Mohammad Madni Miya Ashrafi Al Jilani and a descendant of Sufi saint Sultan Syed Makhdoom Ashraf Jahangir Semnani, founder of the Ashrafi Movement.

Biography[edit]

Hashmi Miyan was born on 29 October 1944,and as per Hijri calendar he was born on 12 day of Zil Qayda 1363 AH in Ashrafpur Kichhauchha, Uttar Pradesh, India.Hashmi Miyan received his education at different Madrasa like Maktabe Ashrafiya Ashrafpur Kichhauchha, Muhammad Hasan Jaunpur, National College Varanasi, Hobart Tillnauknat Inter College Tanda, When his father Mohaddise Azam E Hind passed away, Syed left his English education and went to Madarsa Jamia Naeemia, Moradabad. Syed had continued his education at the world renowned Islamic Educational Institute Al Jamiatul Ashrafia Mubarakpur further he graduated from Jamia Arabia Sultanpur.[13][14][15]
