Thadi Balaji also known as Dhadi Balaji (born 17 Feb 1978) (Tamil: தாடி பாலாஜி) is an Indian Tamil television personality and film actor who generally appears in supporting roles. He made his acting debut in the 1997 film Nandhini which starred Prakash Raj and Suhasini Maniratnam in the lead roles. He is well known for his works in the television field and served as one of the judges in the comedy premiere show, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? which is broadcast on Star Vijay alongside Erode Mahesh, Priyanka Deshpande, Mimicry Sethu and Aarthi.[1]
He is named as one of the fifteen contestants along with his wife Nithya in the Bigg Boss Tamil 2.[2][3]

Career
Despite gaining minor opportunities in supporting roles to act in films prior to his serial acting debut, Thadi Balaji enhanced his career as a serial actor through the TV serial Mayavi Marichan in 1999 which was telecast through Sun TV and also starred M. S. Bhaskar in a prominent role. After playing a breakthrough role in Mayavi Marichan serial, he later received opportunities again in the Kollywood film industry to act as a comedian in supporting roles.[4][5]
Thadi Balaji also worked as an anchor alongside Erode Mahesh for the Vijay TV premiere show, Naduvula Konjam Disturb Pannuvom and was also nominated for the Vijay Television Awards for Favourite Anchor Male for the first time in his anchoring career during the 2017 Vijay Television Awards. He alongside Erode Mahesh won the Vijay Television Awards for Favourite Anchor Pair Non Fiction for the standout show, Naduvula Konjam Disturb Pannuvom in the 2017 Vijay TV Awards. During the 2014 Vijay Television Awards, both Balaji and Mahesh were nominated for the Vijay Television Awards for Favourite Screen Pair for Naduvula Konjam Disturb Pannuvom.[6]
Apart from anchoring he also served as one of the primary judges in the Vijay TV show, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? in the 5th, 6th and 7th editions of the premiere show. He is one of the contestants in Bigg Boss Tamil 2.
