Plot[edit]
At the doctor's office, the Watterson's are informed that Anais has been facepalming every time one of them does something stupid, leaving an imprint on her skull. They are also told that if she facepalms any time during the current week, her facepalming will leave her with permanent brain damage. Gumball jokingly states that a week is "9 days," and the Watterson's make it their mission to not do anything stupid, that week.
Later, Nicole tells her family to clean the house, while she takes Anais to the store. Once there, she is refused service for using coupons that are exactly one minute expired. At home, Nicole finds Gumball and Darwin doing their normal shenanigans, and tries to keep Anais away from it all by letting her use the TV. Anais begins to hear strange noises outside and leaves.
The family notice Anais is missing and runs to find her. They reach her at a park, where Nicole and Richard yell at her at the same time, making out the word "freeway." All of a sudden, Anais finds herself on a freeway, where Nicole and Gumball find her. After Gumball fails to protect Anais from incoming traffic, Nicole yells at him, making out the word "construction site." Once again, Anais magically changes location and finds herself in a construction site. Richard finds Anais and safely carries her away.
While talking, Anais notices weird things with her family. From Darwin mentioning a "CT scan," Richard wearing a stethoscope, and Nicole's teeth appearing as a scan line, Anais quickly realizes she is still at the hospital. It is revealed that Anais knocked herself out into a coma when she facepalmed hearing Gumball call a week "9 days." Anais wakes up, and her family smiles at her.
