At home, Nicole and her parents argue on what caused them to separate. Nicole argues that her childhood was worsened when her parents set high expectations for her, causing them to always be disappointed in her. Nicole's parents argue that Nicole was a bad child in general and that her anger outbursts caused them to get into a lot of trouble. After being asked again, Nicole reveals to her parents she left them because she wanted to start over. As Nicole's parents leave in shame, Nicole starts to feel regret.
