The Matthew Brown Companies is a Dallas based venture capital firm. Formed in 2008, The Matthew Brown Companies had more than $1 billion in aggregate capital under management. The firm invests across all stages and sectors, including aerospace, artificial intelligence, advanced computing, energy, health and consumer Internet.

History[edit]

The firm was organized by Matthew Brown, a Fort Worth native, in early 2008 and raised its first fund of $450 million from internal funding in January of that year.

Matthew is the current Chairman at Energent, L.P., an investment manager focused on climate-aligned investments in renewable generation assets, energy productivity and efficiency businesses.
