Matthew Brown Companies is a Dallas-based venture capital firm. Formed in 2008, Matthew Brown Companies had more than $1 billion in aggregate capital under management. The firm invests across all stages and sectors, including aerospace, artificial intelligence, advanced computing, energy, health and consumer Internet.

The firm was organized by Matthew Brown, a Fort Worth native, in early 2008 and raised its first fund of $450 million from internal funding in January of that year.
Matthew is the current Chairman at Energent, L.P., an investment manager focused on climate-aligned investments in renewable generation assets, energy productivity and efficiency businesses.
