Vlad Khart has been working in the areas of New Media, Net art, Digital Art, Metagraphy and Sound art using computer technology. The first works were performed by the multimedia artist on a computer in 1989, starting the series "Metagraphs" and sound art. Vlad Khart 's concert "Homo soveticus" was presented on the Fidonet network, which was later broadcast on the Internet and became part of multimedia compositions. These were some of the world's first online concerts of digital sampler music created on a computer using programming without the use of musical instruments.[3]
"Metagraphy" is the name of the author's technique createded by Vlad Khart, which consists in a special processing of photographic images on a computer. That is, "metagraphy" is an original graphic technique that includes features of photography and graphics, or is an intermediate between them. Volodymyr's digital metagraphs snatch essential moments from the urban environment as if there is an instant contact between the individual and the public. The flow of street life, where everyone is in a hurry in many deeds and without deeds, obeying the rhythm, still allows the manifestation, albeit instantaneous, of eternal poetry, which, having changed, lives in the thoughts and works of the artist of the new millennium. Vladimir did a lot of work in the traditional technique of photography.[4]
One of the digital projects in which the artist participated was "Digital yard № 3" with artists of the «G. V. Kh.» – group: Golub, Vysheslavsky, Kharchenko. Their project was shown in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Kyiv (2008).[5]
Vlad participated in the international exhibition of electrography "Matrix" Hungarian Association of Electrographic Art in Budapest, Hungary with digital metagraphies.[6]
He is participant of the international exhibition 2022 - "Identity. Aspects of modern photography in Ukraine", Apollonia, Strasbourg, France.[7]
